Blackpool Sea Life Centre

The big attraction at the Blackpool Sealife Centre is the walk-through underwater shark tunnel which positively seethes with the rather scary looking creatures plus a whole load of other tropical fish. But there are plenty more attractions besides. There are more than 50 mesmerising displays including seahorses, octopus and rays and small children always love the petting area where they can touch and feel crab and starfish. There are also regular feeding displays and talks and demonstrations which help visitors understand more about the silent, rainbow-coloured creatures gliding all around them. A major draw is the centre’s Turtle Shelter where you can see turtles swimming and basking in their home. There’s the chance to watch their activities through a periscope, feel the difference in shells in the hatching area and have your picture snapped inside a giant egg.
